We had Carli's follow-up ENT visit today. She will be getting tubes in her ears on April 23rd. While she's under, they are going to go ahead and release the tongue tie. At the first visit, the doctor didn't think the tongue tie was bad enough to interfer with her speech, but she said she may never be able to lick an ice cream cone. WHAT? So today at our follow-up she said that they would go ahead and clip the tongue since she was going to be under for the ear tubes. Thank goodness! I feel bad enough for her now not being able to lick the beaters after we make cake batter, let alone never being able to lick an ice cream cone. Carli will have her swallow study on the 18th. Hopefully nothing will come of that. She's been quite a trooper going to all of these doctor visits. She knows she gets a sucker and sticker when she's done. :)
All in all her transition has been very, very easy. She's a great sleeper. She loves to wrap her arms around your neck and give and gets lots and lots of kisses! She is incredibly, incredibly ticklish, and has the cutest laugh ever. And along with AnLi, she loves to be outdoors! She shows her Chongqing spiciness every now and then, but even that's cute!
I have lots of pictures I need to upload. Hopefully I'll get that accomplished this weekend.

As difficult as the 23rd will be, the 24th will be a new begining for Carli. ...an opportunty to hear clearly and summer filled with ice cream cones!
Besides -- Every little girl needs to be able to stick her tongue out at the boys!!!
